The Foo Fighters have released a music video for their first single from the upcoming album Sonic Highways. The “Something From Nothing” video was shot at Steve Albini’s Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago, which is also where the band recorded the song. The Foo Fighters new album, which is set to be released on November 10th, was recorded in eight studios in eight different American cities, and will be previewed in a new HBO documentary series, directed by Dave Grohl, called “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways”. The series premiered on October 17th, and was followed by a live stream of a show at Chicago’s Cubby Bear. (As a teenager, Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl went to his first punk show at the venue.)
The series continues this week in Washington D.C., featuring Arlington’s Inner Ear Studio. The Foo Fighters kept the same spirit as last week alive, by announcing a concert at D.C.’s Black Cat (700 person capacity) for Friday night.
Below is a photo of the line at the Black Cat, about 4 hours before tickets went on sale. If you weren’t already in line by this point, you were out of luck.
