Jimmy Eat World has had quite the career. From their beginnings in Mesa, Arizona in 1993, the band has released seven studio albums. “Bleed American”, the bands fourth album, reached platinum status in both the United States and Canada. The album’s second single, “The Middle” became the band’s biggest single to date, reaching number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
After touring extensively in support of “Bleed American”, Jimmy Eat World returned to the studio to work on their follow up record. On October 19th, 2004, “Futures” was released through Interscope Records. The album contained three successful singles, led by the track “Pain”, followed by “Work” and “Futures”.
This year, Jimmy Eat World has announced a fall tour across North America, as a 10-year anniversary celebration of the release of “Futures”. The tour kicks off October 2nd at the Ventura Theater in Ventura, California, the band will perform their 2004 release from front to back.
Along with the national tour, Jimmy Eat World plans on reissuing titles on double LP via Universal Music Enterprises in partnership with SRCvinyl. “Static Prevails” will be released on August 19th, “Clarity” on September 2nd and “Futures” on September 30th.
